Surf Report Sites:
    


  • The big hitter of surf reports is Sean Collins' Surfline Surf Report check out the numerous live video feeds and daily surf reports from around the world. 

    

  • A very popular site for Floridian surf reports is East Coast Surf @ Surf Info sponsored by the Division of Marine and Environmental Systems at Florida Tech.

     

  •  A great site for New Jersey surfrats needing a daily fix of junk is the Exit98  Surf Cam located near Pt. Pleasant Beach.

     

  •  Another North Jersey surf cam is located in the North End  of Long Branch.  A former mecca for NY metro surfers, until it was destroyed by the Army Corps of Engineers in 1997.  You can still if there are waves or not... 

    

  •  A New York religious fanatic named Surfer Jim posts this daily surf report from  Long Beach, NY  thats on Long Island...  The zealot also has installed a surf cam you can sometimes link to.  

      

  •  Rhode Island's one and only surfcam located at New England Surfing's most holy ground of  Matunuck, RI  near Galilee.  

     

  • This link is great for finding your local marine forecast.  (submitted by Surfweeny)

    

  •  If you can read a weather map, this link will give you a good idea what is currently happening in the   Western North Atlantic 

  •  Predicting tides is a science, let the experts at NOAA guide you courtesy of the  Oceanic Products and Services Division , and save the guess work for midterms.  If you're working, then remember this is where your some of your tax dollars go...

      
General Interest Surf Sites:
    


  • A somewhat obscure page of links but still worthy because it includes an exposition on the famous Dr. Lud's method of swell prediction Grim's Surfing Page (submitted by KC)

    

  • A web classic The Complete Surfing Guide for Coaches by Bruce C. Gabrielson, PhD, Founder of US High School Surfing, This site was put up January 1994, the web's first surfing site. (submitted by KC)

    

  • No kooks allowed here, but great historical information on Duke Kahanamoku et al. can be found at:  Legendary Surfers 

    

  •  For the macho men: no nacho chips allowed, big guns only!   Mavericks  (submitted by BigJ) 

    

  •  A cornucopia of surf music links can be found at

  • It did produce world champions Kelly Slater (5X) and Lisa Anderson (4X), so it can't be all bad:  Eastern Surfing Association  The amateur competitive surfing organization for the US east coast.

  •  A new publication featuring women's surfing is  the online zine is worth a look for surfing action.

  • The international leader in surf environmentalism: 
    SURFRIDER FOUNDATION USA      The NJ chapter is headed up by Bill Rosenblatt, surfer, psychologist, and the mayor of Loch Arbour, NJ.

  • An interesting piece on Surfing  New Yawk Cidy  features Tom Senna proprietor of the Rockaway Beach Surf Shop among others. 

    

  • An Irish kOOk named Bill from  County Cork  giving out beta on their local terrain. 

    

  • British surfers ride the bizarre Severn Bore "The present champion surfer is Dave Lawson from Hempsted, Gloucestershire, who has covered 5.7 miles on a surfboard.  His record-breaking surf took more than 35 minutes and was logged by an official adjudicator from the British Surfing Association."

    

  • An extensive (but somewhat outdated) list of east coast USA surfshops compiled by kOOk of the year 1998 Myriam Pitre:  La Kanook's Surf Shop List "Myriam was last heard from after stops in Hawaii and Fiji.  Check her website for all the latest updates."

    

  •  I used this site to plan my trip to Australia.  It
has a pretty detailed description of the  Southern
