Man has used marijuana since biblical times. Up until about 1935 it was legal to grow and smoke marijuana in the United States of America. One of the largest causes of the prohibition of marijuana was cotton farmers. The hemp plant is the most versatile plant in the known world. You can make nearly anyting out of it, you can eat it, you can smoke it. Its used in clothes, all sorts of textiles, as medicine, and as a means to help you relax. Only now are people starting to realize all of the benefits of the legalization of marijuana.
2. The benefits of legalization.
How could we benefit from the legalization of the hemp plant? Well here are a few ways;
1. Economically
First of all not only could we produce more textiles for half the cost, but we could tax all marijuana sold for recreational smoking, or you could grow your own, but thats a different point.
Also all of the innocent people serving jail time for only possessing marijuana would be free to join society again and open up the prisons for people who should actually be there. Another way legalization would help the economy is all of the stores and new merchandise that would spring up. Coffee shops, bars, theme stores, all sorts of new ideas would come into play.
Im too tired to finish the rest of this tonight so Im not gonna.
