I'm sixteen years old I go to White Pines, I am from Sault Ste Marie Ont. Canada. I started biking in '95, riding a supercycle, and still would be if it wasn't for my two brothers who let me go biking with them. I bought a Mongoose in 98 and started biking regularly. I have raced in two races in which I placed 5th in my age group and 9th overall in 1998, in 2000 I placed 3rd in beginner class.I would pretty much sit at home and do absolutely nothing during the summer if it was for mountain biking. I probably wouldn't even go to work if I didn't need the money for my bike.
My favorite type of riding is single track. You don't go as fast in there and since my concussion I've been taken it slow but I am getting back into the biking groove each ride. Going uphill isn't bad either. You work your leg muscles out a lot when pedalling up a hill and I think that's what I like most about biking, the work-out it gives your legs and lungs. I think the only time I liked going really fast was the first year I biked on a regular basis on bike trails; that was the year when I thought I could go any speed on any trail and not crash and get hurt.
I would like to thank my brother Doug, and brother inlaw, who has many images in his page, Kenny for getting me to build this page.
