In the expansion days of the USWA, this individual came into the
scene as an outspoken Writer of Raw Magazine and USWA
Magazine, constantly letting the world know how he felt
about the "current events" of the USWA and the wrestling
world.
In late 1998, that all changed, for became more than just a
magazine writer when he was elected as President of the
USWA to replace Vincent K. McMahon. Not long after
his election, he started to cause USWA Owner/Chairman
Mickey Mouse problems as he scheduled a number of
"unwanted" title matches and even rehired Blaster Bladwick
after that individual lost his career in an Ownership vs Career
Hell in the Cell Match at Survivor Series 1998.
In mid-1999, the Mickey/Venom feud hit a new height when
Mickey caused Ric Venom to become Impeached, however
he served only a year and a half of his term in jail because
Jim Ross bailed him out. Upon his return, the then President
Lenny Mouse appointed him as USWA Vice-President. This
appointment would bite all in USWA in the in the next year.
In Early - 2001, Venom, becoming annoyed at the ever-growing
presence of HCW (then WWWF) talent at USWA events, led
several key stars including the Crock to fight the "invading"
forces.
In mid-2000, Ric Venom was appointed from a guest
Broadcaster to being the Commisioner, to being the
Co-Owner of WCW in just a two week period ! As
he elevated in the ranks, him and Shane Murphy
slowly and assurely would reach the goal of shutting
down World Championship Wrestling which afterwards
would turn into the low rated Xtreme Wrestling Federation.
In mid-2001, in the midst of a building "conflict", Ric Venom
controversially won the USWA Heavyweight Championship.
This led to a huge tournament a week later when Mickey
forced Venom to relinquish the title. In October of the same
year "war" broke out between Lenny's BFCW and Mickey's
USWA. Apparently, Venom chose Mickey's side.
The next big turn would occur about nine months later
when Ric Venom was "hit" by a truck, and it was
announced that he had "died" and even went so far to
show a "funeral" and a huge memorial service. This was
revealed as a hoax when Ric Venom came back three
weeks later and revealed himself as the leader of the
Venom Regime, a large rebel group who's single goal
was "the extermination of the two Mouse Empires !"
On September 1rst, 2002, the Venom Regime
accomplished their goal when they emerged
victorious in the Project Extermination Match as
Armageddon Three. Now, two months later
the old USWA is back but under a new banner,
and Mickey has given Venom another chance,
only this time, he is not dumb enough to give
Venom the massive power he once had.
Recently, Ric Venom has expressed his great opinion on the
HCW, UWF, and both Divsions. He has attempted to speak
his mind in the Meeting Room, but Mickey refuses to hear
his word, calling it "useless". Venom's minor authority has
been repeatedly mocked as Mickey has told him numerous
times on the Cabinet Segments to make sure the website is
protected.
