2000 Trek TR 30 HIGHS -Light -100% 4130 chromoly -Includes sst ORYG -Rear 990 brake will stop you in your tracks -Micro adjust seatpost saves time and is less complicated than that other kind -Bontrager 14mm front/rear 48's are very very strong. I have yet to bend or crack them -Trek Jaws stem keeps the 2pc bars in place -Handles well on street and dirt -Nice paint color LOWS -Bontrager waffle style grips wear completely through in less than a month -Barrel adjustor on lever has a tendancy to strip -Rear tire is way to skinny and wears down fast due to brakes working excessively well -Top tube could kill a man if landed on it the right way -1 PC CRANKS HAVE TO GO!!!!! OVERALL The TR 30 is a good bike for beginner or advanced riders and it isnt just a dirt bike either, it holds up to the harshness of street very well. If you buy this bike you will need to put aside some extra money for new grips, tires and lizard skins because without these necessities you are gonna be in trouble. I also reccomend taking off the gyro and just getting a longer brake cable cause the thing is a pain in the ass. Rating: 8.9/10 Submitted by Matt Reid |
