UNIFORM:  Gi with pants in Gi division
In No-Gi Division: any type shorts with drawstring, shirt and shoes optional
Note- Opponents cannot grab clothes unless you are wearing a GI (top or bottom).

ROUNDS:   Under 1year- One, 5 minute round with points
Over 1 year -one 6minute round
If tied on points winner by advantage

STYLE:   Double elimination

WIN BY:   Submission
    Points (advantage if points are tied at end of time)
                 
POINTS:       2-Take down into a dominant position (Side Mount , Mount ,etc.)
1-Take down into neutral position (Guard)
1-Holding position (Side Mount, North south)
2-Holding mount or back position
All positions must be held to a 5 count
Advantages are giving for Submission attempts only

LEGAL TECHNIQUE:  All finishing techniques must be applied in a gradual and safe manner or will result in disqualification.
           -Chokes and neck cranks
           -Arm bars, shoulder, wrist, and hip locks
           -Leg and ankle locks (No heel hooks in under 1 year Div.)
          -Key locks

ILLEGAL TECHNIQUES:  Punishment is 1 foul or disqualification; at referee's discretion; will discuss before tournament begins.
         
WEIGHT CLASSES:  Men's Division   Women's Division
-Under 150    - 115 and under
         -165     - 140
          -180     - over 141
         -195
         -215
          -216 and over
         
Women may compete with the men in 1 weight class lower than they actually are.
