Melange was formed by
the name of Vigilance on 1st June 1996.The members at that time was
only 10.They were Saga,Rizal,Shah,
Jeff,BL,Pet,
Deli,M.Rizal,North,and
Fadil.They played many games such as,
the World Underground Rollerhockey Tournament,the Pacific Region Competition,
the annualy held Singapore-Malaysia Extreme Sports Competition,
the South-East Asia Rollerhockey Games,Malaysia
Underground Rollerhockey Competition,and many more.
Then in 1998 they changed their
name to Vigilance II cause they found out that there's another
Malaysian rollerhockey team at New York by the name of Vigilance.Next,with Stardust (a Chinese rollerhockey team)
they joined forces
with the name of Aria Pahlawan Malaysia
(APM).APM was organised by a big
company (sorry,can't stated it here) and became an ice hockey team for
Malaysia. Beside of Vigilance II and Stardust,there were some players
selected from other teams.
In late 1998,APM entered an
international ice hockey competition and they finished 5th with
15 teams entered the competition.That's where a Vigilance II player died.
He was M.Rizal and died during a game after a fought with a bastard
opponent team.Then after the competition,APM broke out and some players
entered either Stardust or Vigilance II for their future in rollerhockey.
Some also went back to their former team.New recruits of the Vigilance II
from APM were Apek,Wanni,
Shimi, Black and Botak.
Then in early 1999,they recruited
players to make the team 25 in number.They were selected in some rollerhockey
games held locally.They were Fuad,Vex,
E-Dan,Am,Han-II and Ice.
Next Cho-Hag,
Lan,Vega,Alfa and Kai
joined the team.Upon completion,they changed the
name of Vigilance II to the name of Melange on 1st
June 1999,the same date on 1996
Vigilance was formed.Now,well organised,Melange continues Vigilance's fighting in
the rollerhockey world,thus bringing Malaysia's name to the top of the world.
Their motto,as always is
"TRUST AND LOYALTY"
