UNITED NATIONS STAFF RECREATION COUNCIL

SKI CLUB

The Ski Club now has its own voicemail system.

1) Upon calling (212) 963-9000, (39000 within the building) the

caller enters 75437 ( SKIER ) any time after the main message ("You

have reached the United Nations") starts. We can give this

information to our members as being the correct way to contact the Ski

Club.

2) Message number 999 will be played. This is the main message. If

1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 is entered on the telephone keypad during the play of

the message or following the completion of the message, the caller

will be forwarded to the message of that associated key. i.e.

pressing 1 will forward the caller to message number 010, pressing a

2 will forward the caller to 020, etc. After pressing button 5, the

caller will be referred to Message number 050 which should inform him

or her that after pressing button 1 a message may be left for the

Club.

3) From messages 010, 020, 030, and 040 any key pressed OTHER THAN a

1, will result in the caller being disconnected. The entry of a 1

will result in the caller being returned to message 999. If no key is

pressed within 10 seconds following the completion of these messages,

the caller will be disconnected.

4) From message 050, any key pressed OTHER THAN a 1, will result in

the caller being disconnected. The entry of a 1 will result in the

caller being forwarded to Voice Mailbox # 77776, where the

announcement for mailbox 77776 will be played, and the caller may

leave a voice message. If no key is pressed within 10 seconds

following the completion of message 050, the caller will be

disconnected.

5) Voice Mailbox #77776 has been established. This is where the

messages go after pressing 5 and 1 as outlined about. I initialized

it.

6) A caller may also leave a message for the Ski Club directly by

calling 39000, and any time after the main message ("You have reached

the United Nations") starts, may dial 77776. The caller will hear the

announcement for voicebox #77776. You may give this number 77776

directly to Club Members.

7) For the Committee members to obtain the messages or to

re-initialize the mailbox, simply follow this procedure: Dial 39000,

then any time after the main message ("You have reached the United

Nations") starts, enter *77776, and you will be prompted for the

pertinent information - the Security Code. This is XXXX, but can, of

course, be changed, and should only be revealed to Committee members.

8) The Message Creation Menu is used to record, delete and modify the

messages associated with the Ski Club Voicemail system. The System

Administrator is assigned an authorization code which allows for these

changes to be made. Upon calling (212) 963-9000, (39000 within the

building) the caller enters 75437 ( SKIER ) any time after the main

message ("You have reached the United Nations") starts. Then message

999 should start. The authorization code is then entered.. This is

#XXXX (#XXXX) and should not be revealed to non-Committee members.

9) Once #XXXX (#XXXX) is entered, the caller (Should be administrator

only - i.e. a Committee member) is forwarded to the Message Creation

Menu. The messages are 999 (main) 010 for key 1, 020 for key 2, 030

for key 3, 040 for key 4 and 050 for key 5. To modify these messages

follow the instructions. At the end of recording a message the # sign

should be pressed. Messages 1 to 4 should inform callers that by

pressing button 1 they will be returned to the Main menu.
