This is Chuck Thompson of Heislerville, N.J., who covered
the Labor Day '99 Rally with his digital camera.
Here he is diving Ray Mateer's red Swindell free-flow air hat.
Jim Boyd's AH2 is a similar helmet (below) but is mated to an Aquala drysuit.
That's Chuck below left and Tony (whose last name I didn't get on video and can't remember) at right.
So how do we have all these photos "by" Chuck of Chuck?
Simple, he just handed his camera to other photographers.
Ray Mateer is a commercial diver who brought his Swindell air hat and dived other gear
like Ray Butts' MkV with the Viking dress. Ray Tucker and Bob Rusnak (right) were dressing another dive in the canvas MkV dress.
CHRIS LOW was looking pretty serious as he was dressed in Jim Boyd's Chinese hardhat rig.
