MEMORIAL DAY 2001

A SPECIAL GUEST at the Memorial Day 2001 Working Equipment Rally was Ty Alley of Shreveport, La., the new owner of Aquala, Inc., the historic manufacturer of drysuits. Ty brought the prototype for his suit that will mate to our Aquadyne AH2 (top left), which was dived by himself, Ray Tucker and Tom Butts (top right). Ty was particularly interested in diving the MkV and other heavy gear to help him develop a future line of drysuits. He also used a prototype of his new two-color scuba suit (above) in yellow and black. Check out the AQUALA WEBSITE. There was an excellent turnout, in spite of the weather. On Monday evening new member Stephen Nelson (no relation to Mike, sorry) dived Jim Boyd's SuperLite 27/Amron rig (right).

TWO BRAND NEW Morse MkV helmets, manufactured in 2000, were on hand.
Jay Rogers (above right) and Tim Tranter (above left) dived together on Sunday.
As usual, it took a crowbar to get Greg Platt out of the gear (below)!
