Photojournalism
June 26 - June 30, 2000
Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 4pm
Offered at the University of Maryland through the Maryland Scholastic Press Association, and co-sponsored by The Washington Post.

Heather Kelley, Instructor

This course is designed to introduce the medium of photography to students interested in the field of photojournalism. Learn basic camera and flash controls and get introduced to the darkroom as you take photos and process and print black-and-white film. Students will plan and execute a photo assignment.

Materials List

The only thing you need to bring with you to class is your 35mm camera. We can work with either point-and-shoot automatic cameras, or manual SLR cameras -- the choice is yours. Film, photographic paper, chemicals, and other darkroom supplies will be provided.
