About an hour north of Everett is the tulip-capital of the world (no joke, it's even self-proclaimed). It also has a kick-ass wooden skate park. There are three 3' mini ramps, two are spined and one is hipped. There's a 7'x32' half-pipe off to the side which is also pretty fun. The good things are the flow of the minis and the halfpipe. The problems are the street area and the coping. The coping is sunk in on the minis and is extremely sticky on the half-pipe. The fun boxes are terribly built and have sticky ledges. A small rail is a fun final addition to the park. The street area would be nice if there was a quarterpipe to drop in from or if they would line the two boxes up to each other. That's okay, though, because the halfpipe and the mini-ramps are more than enough of a reason to visit this place. It dries pretty quick, too, as we found out.
Bathrooms: None
Drinks: None
Landscape: Open
Other: Basketball, baseball, soccer. Used to be a rollerhockey rink, I guess, but it's not there anymore.
Coping: Sunk in some places, sticky at others, but still ok.
Jumps: Street stuff sucks, but if you like going vert like I do, then you'll like it.
Crowds: We were out of school the day we went, but they were in school, so nobody was there. The older guys we did see were pretty cool.
Special: Fun spine, nice half-pipe.
Directions: Take the Mount Vernon exit for the College (can't remember the name). Take a right and stay on the street until you pass all of the stop lights and get to 30th street. Take a right and then take a left on Fir street. Go left into Bakerview park and the skatepark is on the other side of the barn.
