SEC Report

For those interested, here is a brief overview of my last SEC championships meet I participated in, on February 16-19.

Day 1: Led of the 200 freestyle relay with 23.14.

Day 2: Swam 50 freestyle and went a 23.2 finished 11th in morinig session. Went a 23.2 again and won the consolation final. Was not happy with this time but a haven't done much sprintworkouts this year so we'll try to blame it on that.

Day 3: Today I swam the 100 fly, which is not one of my best events but always a fun break from the freestyle. Went a 55.50 (best time) in the morning and seated 5th for the top final at night. In finals I went a 55.44 (best time) and finished 4th overall. Not bad, but not good enough. Swam a 1.49.5 on the 200 freestyle leading of the 800 free relay (best time).

Day 4: Today I swam the 100 freestyle which is normally my strongest event. Went a 49.9 and seated 5th for the top final at night. At night I finished 5th with a 49.85 (best time).

Overall impression of the meet: NOT very happy with the times a swam. I felt pretty good but I doubt if I hit my taper right. Just barely shaved of some hundreds of a second of my best times. The meet itself was incerdibly fast and a lot of fun to participate in.
