IGLGU competition events

Ages & skill levels are divided into competition brackets.

Gymnastics:

All gymnastics events are international standard (FIG) with some adjustment for age (WMGF).

Mens Events:

NOTE: Since FIG does not prohibit men from using music, there is no reason for IGLGU to prohibit it either!

  • Floor (Music optional)
  • Vault
  • Pommel Horse
  • Parallel Bars
  • Rings
  • High Bar

    Womens Events:

  • Floor (Music optional)
  • Vault
  • Beam
  • Uneven Bars

    Rythmic Events:

  • Womens Rythmic individual FIG
  • Mens Rythmic individual FIG

    Tumbling:

    Tumbling events will be added to standard FIG Olympic gymnastics meet if enough tumblers sign up.
    Additional aparatus, & judging staff will need to be procured.
    Tumblers will be bracketed by skill level & age as the gymnasts are.

    Trampoline:

    Trampoline events will be added to standard FIG Olympic gymnastics meet if enough trampoliners sign up.
    Additional aparatus, & judging staff will need to be procured.
    Trampoliners will be bracketed by skill level & age as the gymnasts are.

    Cheerleading:

    Please see section "Sports Acrobatics"

    Sports Acrobatics:

    Sports acrobatics events will be added to standard FIG Olympic Gymnastics meet if enough acrobats sign up.

    For safety reasons all sports Acrobatics will be performed on gymnastics rebound floor.

    ABSOLUTELY NO sports Acrobatics are to be performed on a NON PADDED surface!!!

    Sports acrobatics exists as a sport on its own. The Sport Acrobatics division of IGLGU has been modified to accommodate the demand for Cheerleading as an FGG sport.

    With the amount of duplication between sport acrobatics and cheerleading, it makes sense for cheerleaders to compete as sport acrobats.

    2 Special notes:

  • There are no "drag" events.
  • The actual cheering or yelling is not part of the competiton.
    This event is about the actual athletic aspect of the sport.

    Sports acrobatics is a team competition. Individual sports acrobats are duplicating gymnastics floor excercises and are encouraged to compete in gymnastics floor excercise.
    Pairs competition sports acrobats will be bracketed by skill level & age as individual gymnasts are. Teams will be judged equally.

    Other Events:

    Additional gymnastics type events will be added as need arises.

    NOTE:

    We are having difficulty securing acredited judging staff for most events !
