Hagginsb18 is a Fraud!

I purchased a CRF450 radiator from Hagginsb18 (aka kalen_hagins@hotmail.com ) on October 8, 2005.  I had agreed to purchase this item because of the description :

05 CRF 450 radiator

You are bidding on a slightly used 05 450 radiator. I used this radiator for 3 rides then i upgraded. This radiator is in perfect working order, you will not be dissappointed. I will ship anywhere in the U.S. Check with your local dealer to make sure it will fit your model and year.

This item is sold as is with no warranty. You must have positive feedback to bid on this item. No bogus bidders. Bogus bidders will receive negative feedback. Thank you and happy bidding.

However when I received the radiator I felt instantly ripped off.  This radiator was obviously replaced because of a crash the bike was in.  Being a believer in Ebay and never having an experience like this before I contacted Kalen about the condition of the radiator and my disappointment of its condition (Kalen stated in the aution that "You are bidding on a slightly used 05 450 radiator. I used this radiator for 3 rides then i upgraded. This radiator is in perfect working order, you will not be dissappointed"  and to say the least this was a deliberate attempt to sell a worthless radiator.  Kalen from the beginning began to blame me for the condition of the radiator.  Kalen said I should have bought insurance and if the container was ruined I would have accepted that responsibility.  However in the pictures below you will see that the shipping box was in perfect condition and the radiator was shipped in a factory Honda box complete with bubble wrap.

I have provided the messages that Kalen sent in response to my concerns.  In one of the emails he said "send it to 8227 E woodwind ave orange ca 92869. Thank you and im sorry for the inconvenience.".  I promptly sent back the radiator and replied that the item was sent and upon receipt I would like the $61 sent back to my paypal account.  To my horror the following was recieved Oct 19, 2005 "I never agreed to a refund on this item. You just said you were ending it back. When I sent this item to you it wasnt in the condition you received it in. What is the location you sent it to anyway? You had the option to purchase insurance, but you chose not to. So now that you get it all messed up your making your own deal for a refund. You say you feel taken, I think the tables have turned now and i get a messed up radiator."

When Kalen said "Thank you and im sorry for the inconvenience" he knows that the radiator was fraudulently described and that he was righting his wrong.  However now he says he didn't agree to the refund as he sits there with the beat up radiator that will no doubt be back on Ebay, Be warned!!

Now for the proof

Email 1. He wants to "resolve this".  Notice that "some of the flanges are pressed from pulling stickers out of it, didn't see that in the original description, step 1 towards stealing my $61.

In response to the condition of the radiator, Kalen deflects and begins the blaming process..

After I sent the pictures that are below Kalen responded with the following email.  Does this not lead you to believe that Kalen was righting his wrong?

No!  According to Kalen he'll take back the radiator but will not refund your money!!!!

Fraud!!!!!

And Kalen's response about where the radiator box came from...

Again Fraud!!!

And lastly the email that was received on Oct 19, 2005.  Kalen denies the refund and that now he is stuck with his own bad radiator (I must remind you that he has my money that I paid for this broken radiator, and the radiator.  RIPOFF!!!).  He also says "You say that you feel taken, I think the tables are turned and I get a messed up radiator".  You get what you sold me, the same piece of crap radiator, PLUS you got my $61 for your effort.  Beware of this scam artist!!!

And now for the original Auction that duped me into believing HAGGINSB18 was an honest seller

I went ahead and purchased tracking for the radiator that I sent back to Kalen (8227 E woodwind ave orange ca 92869) and went ahead and captured the image from www.usps.com 0305 1720 0001 6320 8899) which states that it was received on October 13, 2005 at 2:53pm.  I have no doubt that Kalen will deny that he received the radiator.  As I stated to you and to Kalen I paid $61 for the radiator, which is not a lot of money, this is a matter of principal.  When we go to ebay to find an item that we need, we expect honesty.  When you do no receive honesty it is our duty to warn other buyers of fraudulent sellers.

Kalen's last email to me again placed blame upon me, again for not buying insurance.  As the package was not damaged (check out my pictures) I will not blame ups (I paid $15 to have this shipped from Orange county to Sacramento CA, again another rip-off).  Noticed that Kalen said he did not receive the package (This was sent today, Oct 20, 2005)

Enjoy, and again be warned!

Kalen's Pictures from the Auction (Notice that the radiator cap is not shown in detail, nor the compressed fins, or the twist in the frame (how would this occur during shipping I ask Kalen???)

Again, notice that the defects are not visible in his picture..

Kalen asked for pictures of the said "Slightly used..." radiator.  I went ahead and sent over 10 pictures of the flaws to him.  Kalen claims that I switched the radiator in an attempt to "rip him off".  I have over 183 positive feedback from selling everything from a 1971 Mustang to Yz parts.  This is a matter of principal, I want to make sure everyone is aware of this rip-off seller Hagginsb18

Notice the radiator Stem, good luck getting a cap on this, and if you do will it hold the required psi??  Doubtful

Forgot to mention the crushed fins??  To quote "You are bidding on a slightly used 05 450 radiator".

Forgot to mention the twist??? "You are bidding on a slightly used 05 450 radiator. "

I didn't bid on Chubby Checker's "Lets do the twist", I bid on a "Slightly Used Radiator".

The shipping container was the one that Kalen received from his replacement radiator from his crash, nice touch!!!

Notice the marking under the radiator step? Sure looks identical to the marking that is in the radiator Auction

"It was in perfect condition when I sent it!" --Kalen circa 2005
