  Here are the results from our game Monday, May 8 at Orland Pk
versus Silver Streaks.  They scored 3 runs
in the first innings, two of them on a home run over the left field fence
into a strong wind.  They added another in the top of the 4th making it 4-0.
We came back with 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th making it 4-3.  In the top
of the fifth we scored 1 to tie the game at 4-4.  They took the lead in the
top of the 7th scoring 1 run, 5-4.  In the bottom of the 7th, Jim Kupiec led
off by grounding out.  Jim McIntrye singled.  Phil Whitman flew out for the
2nd out.  Ed Sparkman doubled scoring McIntrye from first when the ball was
mishandled in the outfield. Tied score 5-5.  I (Ray Arndt) singled to left
centered scoring the winning run (Ed Sparkman) from 2nd base.  Final score
Orland #1 (6) Silver Streaks (5).




Blue Chips 16; Steger 7.
The Blue Chips blew open a close, 9-7 tussle in the sixth inning
with 5 runs and went on tho win 16-7 over Steger.
