Tristar M92F

This was my first airsoft, and, damn, it is a piece of crap. this whole review will be a little angry, because the gun stopped firing about a month and a day after I got, just too late to return it. I had only put maybe 20-30 rounds through it.

Appearance:

While this gun is supposed to be modeled after the Beretta M9 or 92F, it really doesn't do the job. The body below the slide is basically that of a Smith & Wesson semi-automatic, including the S&W trigger guard. The part of the barrel which extends past the slide is smaller and not aligned with the open slide. there is a huge gap between the slide and the body, which may seriously affect the performance. The clip is nicely weighted, but doesn't look very much like an actual M9 magazine. The hammer doesn't move and doesn't look like an M9's, and most of the Beretta's design features are missing.

Performance:

It doesn't work, which is usually the sign of poor performance. The few rounds I put through it when it was working seemd to work fine, though it was the first time I had ever seen and airsoft gun, so I really had nothing the compare it to.

Negative Points:

Uh...Maybe I should change this to positive points.... I can't think of any. Oh wait! I bet I could take someone out if I threw it at them! Not that that would be acceptable in an airsoft game.

Price:

I got mine for $32.95 from U.S. Cavalry. Considering what a hunk of crap it is, I'd say this money was not well spent. you can buy another M9 from UHC which is cheaper and probably works better, or save a couple dollars up and buy a Marui. Steer clear of this one.

What an actual Beretta 92FS or M9 looks like, which this airsoft fails to pull off in the least.
