KWC M92FS Heavyweight Gas Blowback

This is the second gas gun in my quickly, almost too quickly, growing airsoft collection. Considering the large number of M92FS models out on the market, I took a long time deciding which one to get, but settled on the less exspensive KWC model.

APPEARANCE:
This is a pretty good looking airsoft. It is almost exact weight, has a working slide safety and a fair amount of metal parts, including the recoil spring rod, the hammer, trigger, disassembly latch, the slide lock, the safety, and the magazine. The safety on the right side of the gun looks a little hokey, but it doesn't detract too much from the appearance. I really wish the outer barrel were metal. That would make the gun almost 100% more sweet. There are no Beretta markings on the gun, as Western Arms has the rights. There are no cool military markings like the Marui or KSC versions either. The slide says, "KWC MODEL M92FS CAL.9 Parabellum." Not very cool, but not bad. Overall, the gun had a nice look to it, though it could be less shiny. As the Beretta is my favorite looking gun, it is hard for me to critique it.

PERFORMANCE:
I seem to be having some issues with the magazine, and I hope they sort themselves out, cause it seems that I'm the only one with these problems. The gas doesn't seem to load well into the bottom. The gun shoots HARD. Much harder than my USP Compact. The blowback isn'w quite as "crisp" though, and it could cycle a bit faster. The safety is cool. Since it doesn't decock the pistol, like the actual real steel and WA version, you can carry the gun with the hammer cocked and with the safety on. To decock the airsoft, you hold the hammer, and lower it while pulling the trigger. Youc an fire double or singel action, which is nice. THough my mag. is messed, I can get about 2 clips worth from each gas charge, which ain't bad at all. I load it with .2 g BBs and they work well. And this airsoft field strips like the actual Beretta pratically. I use Omega gas which is HFC22.

NEGATIVE POINTS:
There are a couple. The magazine problem is one, though I hope to work it out. The other is that the gun rattles pretty bad. THe guide rod just seems to be too loose, and it makes a bit of noise. THis is bothersome, and maybe it is just mine, but I'm looking into fixing it, though without messing up the action. That's the main problem on an otherwise nice airsoft.

PRICE:
I got mine for $125 from Shorty USA on a price match. They are prompt and I like doing business with them. I sent in the order, and the same day I got a tracking number. Rememeber that it comes with a little thing of gas, so it has to ship on the ground. It also comes with a loading tool and nozzle for external gas tanks. I have been questioning my purchase though, with all the good things I hear about the new Tokyo Marui M92FS Military Model GBB. I may have to pick on of these up too and see then. But it is a solid gun, and is very low priced in the world of Gas guns. You may want to look at the Marui though as it is supposedley sweet. If you got the cash, pick up a Western Arms version, but if you are on a budget, this is a good alternative. (PS. Avoid the regular version. It is supposedly awful. Get the Heavyweight or Super model.)
