HANGOVER GET BYE OVERLEA ON LAST MINUTE GOAL, 1-0
In the second half, Hangover it was more of the same. The ball just did not want to go into the net. Hangover did not give up and kept at know that it would eventually come. Hangover keeper Butch Santucci, came up large the couple times when needed, but beside that he was quite lonely all match. But then in the 88th minute a flicked on ball by John Jenkins found its way to the back post where Danny Gerbasi met it and headed it into the net from 5 yds out to give Hangover the last minute win and put them through to the DiMarco Cup final.

BALTIMORE, MD – Hangover United squeaked by a win against Overlea FC to make their way to the DiMarco Cup Final on Tues evening. Hangover made things much more difficult on themselves than need be. Just about the whole match was played in the Overlea end of the field but Hangover simply could not find the back of the net. Time and time again the ball was just missing the goal. The first half ended 0-0.
At the post match press conference at Kislings player/manager Chris King said, “This was the nightmare we needed to get through. We were one bad bounce away from being booted, but we found a way to win.”
Hangover now make their way to the -Finals of the DiMarco Cup next Tuesday December 2nd at 7:00 PM –v- the surprise of the tournament Cardwells Tavern at Utz Field in Patterson Park. Cardwell’s got by got by Peninsula Utd in dramatic fashion with a 2–1 overtime win.
