Brett Poe

The last member to join Savory Mull, Brett started playing bass at the age of 12.  Wanting to play guitar, he soon found he wasn't coordinated enough to handle six strings.  After several high school party bands and a failed attempt at the biker circuit, he decided to stop playing the same crap that's forced down the throat of the American mainstream.  SM offered the opportunity to express a little more of himself than bleached hair and body piercings.

He now has moved up to five strings and supports the backbeat of the band along with adding a few vocal harmonies.  In addition to bass Brett also has had training in trombone, harmonica, bagpipes (no joke), mouth harp, and mbira.  Influences include Geddy Lee (RUSH), Steve Harris (Iron Maiden), Stanley Clarke, Flea, and Bob & Doug Mackenzie.  Take off, eh.
