Adam Veenhuis

A Texas native, Adam has pretended to play the guitar since the age of fifteen. Early training in rhythm and percussion evolved into a passion for the hollow and melodic sounds of the twelve string acoustic guitar. It was rumored that Adam started playing guitar and singing to improve his chances with the ladies, however the intense passion found in his melodies and playing has never been questioned. Adam's musical influences include Widespread Panic, The Grateful Dead and a feast of other classic rock musicians, while his vocal and lyrical inspirations stem from such legends as Neil Young, Bob Weir and Shannon Hoon.

Adam brings melodic rhythms and psychedelic highs into the music while continuing to lead many melodies and offer interesting backing vocals. A versatile musician and reflective thinker, Adam has learned to locate lyrics in the regions of the mind which supercede the day to day obscurities of life, "there is a tremendous amount of feeling in everything; lyrics can sometimes explain our feelings, and sometimes
hide them."
