One of the steadiest growing movements in music today has taken a firm root in the Main Street Entertainment District. Music of The "Jam Band" genre features extended instrumental passages, plenty of rhythm and much improvisation. At the Barrell House, Jam music also features hearty sandwiches, homemade pizza and a choice of over a dozen fresh microbrews.

    The 12th St. brew pub books national, regional, and local acts 3 to 4 nights a week. Local talents will be featured Friday, April 14 with Fairbanks 142 and Cammy nominee Savory Mull. Regional and National jam bands include Runaway Truck Ramp, Apr. 19, Ray's Music Exchange on April 20, and Merl Saunders performing Apr. 26 and 27.
