This was my self-portrait assignment in my color

and design class. The assignment was to make a

self-portrait in the style of a glass window, one you

might see in a church. Right away I knew I wanted

to have me pointing straight while holding on to a

girl. I based this idea on the front cover of the movie

National Lampoon's Van Wilder. I decided to include

my roomates and other friends at that time. Besides

that I included my hobbies and interests. Most of the

things here speak for themselves...except Mickey and

a ninja turte...and the little goblin sitting on a turtle

at the top. I put Mickey in a suit and tie because I

thought it would look cool. I included a ninja turtle

because besides Mickey, the ninja turtles are a sweet

childhood memory of mine. I included a goblin sitting

on a turtle because that was the cover art on my first

snowboard. This is a good example of a promising

project that didn't turn out like I had planned. I think

it was mainly because I painted everything and I am not

the best painter.
