ITMC offers this programme for mountaineering any qualification. The obvious merits of this program are short approaches, summit under 4875 m and wide choice of rock, ice and mixed routes, low price. Ala-Archa is situated in the central part of Kyrgyz Ala-Too. Good road leads to a start point at altitude 2100 m from Bishkek, from 2100 m you can ascend to the Ak-Sai Glacier pass the forest and alpine meadows zone. On a lateral moraine at the altitude of 3100m, comfortable sites for tents are located. This place is called "Ratzek stop", and it is usually used for pitching a base camp from which short approaches lead to main routes. The glacier is surrounded by ranges, where there are well known summits and more than 100 routes with different technical level. Season: from May to September. Service. Bus ride from airport to the mountaineering base and back, food, route consultations, all formalities and interpreters. The climbers have their own outfit which is necessary for ascents (including tents and stoves). They carry their outfit to the base camp and to their route without assistance. They cook in the base camp and on a route themselves. For additional payment possible to arrange guides, porters. cooks, equipment and so on.
