This takes you to the Golden Crescent of Florida and Georgia. Answer the following questions as you find the answers. Click on "I'm Looking for History" Go to the Golden Crescent
Click on Golden Crescent. Click on Map room. Click on Mounds and Rings. Click on Canaveral National Sea Shore.

2. How many species of plants and birds are found there?
3. How big is it?
4. What kinds of activities are offered there?
Click on BACK. Click on Sapelo Island Shell Rings.
5. Who lived here first and how long ago?
6. Who bought the island and what did he do to it?
7. Who owns the island today?
8. What is the island used for now?
Go back. Click on Crystal River.
9. How many Indians might have visited here annually?
10. What did they use this area for?
11. How many mounds make up this complex?
Go BACK. Click on Tomoka.
12. What two rivers are near Tomoka?
13. What was the name of the Indian Village near the river junction?
14. After the British got Florida, what happened to the area?
15. What can you do at this park in the way of activities, etc.?
16. Go back to the NPS Home Page and find something that interests you. What was it?
