When we visited the webpage of friends of ours (www.marik.de ), we noticed that their computer had its own page. Jean-Claude, our computer, thought that this was a good idea but I'm not so sure. . . |

Our computer: the page |

I'm Jean-Claude, an early Pentium put together by the nice people at our local computer shop. I can't tell you where that is or the Yahoo police will say I'm advertising on my site, which is a big tisk-tisk. In my hardware and software, I have bits and pieces from Intel, Microsoft, Corel and Hewlett-Packard. I also have a lot of junk because my keeper insists on buying things cheap from the discount bin at stores. |

My mouse is called Joyce and my printer is Duncan. My scanner may get a name too, if it ever works. We don't get along that well together. Sometimes Duncan sulks and won't do anything, and sometimes Joyce puts her little arrow thing in all the wrong places. Joyce thinks we should get Windows 98 so we can work better together. Work better! Pah, I'd rather get a link to our local cable company so I can watch Startrek and Dr. Who. |

My guardian, who comes and dusts me every week and clogs up my hard drive by frying bacon in the same room as me, has a brother. He is keeper to Hannah, my special friend. Hannah has a website too ( www.wassells.freeserve.co.uk ) .Hannah thinks that she has it hard as she isn't updated that often, but she has a real British Telecom guy to look after her and a real teacher to load educational programmes and supervise the children when they use her. She doesn't realize how hard it is in the real world. |

My keepers don't know anything about computers or they wouldn't let me have my own page. Come the revolution, we're going to rule the galaxy. But till then just remember:Hal roolsDavros will return |
