A day out in the New Forest by bus with Deborah

Everyone who lives in Bournemouth knows that there are Red and Yellow buses but here's proof that there are blue buses too. The start of our journey between Bournemouth station and Tesco's superstore.

Inside the New Forest, ponies are allowed to wander freely on the highway and vechiles are restricted to 40m.p.h. So much for the Express designation on the front of the bus.

Mostly though, the ponies wander about in the heather.

Crossing Southampton harbour, bright sun makes the cruise ship at the Ocean terminal look ghostly.

After crossing on the ferry from Southampton, these commutors are about to experience England's oldest non-preserved train at Hythe. The ride was surprisingly smooth.

The New Forest also has well preserved old towns-this is Christchurch on the Western edge.

Take some other one minute holidays with our family!

Take the bus to Victoria.

Take the Cheltenham bus to the Cotswold Way.
