KINABALU TIME CAPSULE 2050

The Kinabalu Time capsule was sealed by Malaysia Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamed on Sunday the 17th August, 1997. The key was passed to Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Yong Teck Lee.
Items sealed inside the capsule were ;
1. A Proclamation Certificate personally signed by the Prime Minister.
2. A RM2 (Malaysian currency) note bearing the Prime Minister's signature.
3. A "Piala Perdana" souvenir placed by the PM's wife Datin Seri Dr Siti Hasamah.
4. A poster of present Sabah State Cabinet.
5. A Certificate of Appreciation containing the names of the five firms which contributed RM100,000 each towards the activities of Bakti and Bakisa.
5. The ISM Project Kinabalu 1997 launching booklet dated 16th march, 1997.
6. Video recordings of the expedition and proclamation.
7. Names of all the 25th June, 1997 expedition members.
8. Proclamation souvenir magazine.
9. Letterheads, contest forms, commorative key-chain, car-stickers, contest results and various other artifacts.
10. A copy of the Daily Express issue of 17th August, 1997 to enable the people in the year 2050 to know what made the news on this day.
11. Relevant Daily Express clippings on the expedition.
This Kinabalu Time Capsule has also been added to the database in the International time Capsule Society, Atlanta, USA.
