Cymbidium parishii 'Emma Menninger' (4N)

I really think this lip is outstanding. This is where a lot of the red lip cymbidiums come from...not just 'Emma Menniger', but Cym. parishii. This tetraploid clone was developed not many years ago. It is apparently very difficult to come by, and I just lucked out finding it. They didn't want to sell, but finally did at what they thought was a high price...so did I!!! But I just had to have it. I worked for the Menninger's in the summer that the World Orchid Conference was in Bangkok, and was allowed to use their Curtis' Botanical Magazine collection for reference - a complete set!
