This one is planted under a hapu'u fern out in the forest where many Anthuriums were planted as well (the owners have a side business selling them). The shot on the left, taken last year, shows that it indeed likes it there. The one on the right is from Part 1.
It has survived several serious droughts and one fire. Who said you can't grow them in the ground?
