Maxillaria camaridii

Maxillaria camaridii is one of the "one day wonders" of the orchid family, lasting only a single day. The flower is small and white, with a bright yellow blotch in the throat of the lip, and has a very pleasant fragrance. Flowers are presented singly along the rhizome, from the axils of the vestigial leaves which cover the rhizome. It grows and flowers quite well, and seems to prefer a lower light level.
