Encyclia Prismatocarpum
This plant was given to the next door neighbor on his birthday many years back and was planted out in a bright spot in his Anthurium garden. It was one of his favorite plants, and now serves as a reminder of him since he passed on last year from cancer. It is a rank grower which flowers profusely in late June-early July in Hawaii, and is frequently exhibited as large specimens at the Annual Hilo Orchid Society July Show & Sale, which is where this one came from.
