Welcome to Sylvia's
"Photo Friends"
This is the special place at Sylvia's Kitty Condo where we are pleased to be able to share with you some of the very special furry friends who we have met along the course of our dear girls journey. As our "extended family" of friends grows, so too grows the love which fills our family's hearts.
This handsome regal fur boy is Herman,
a special friend of ours who just happens to cuddle with his family in the same area of
Florida in which we live. With the tender loving assistance of his family, dear Herman is now beginning his valiant battle against the sarcoma
monster. Herman is blessed in that his family is
empowering themselves with knowledge towards making the very best decisions for their dear
boy during this difficult part of his nine lives journey. Herman
is a very intelligent fur boy and he has even been known to figure out when Santa's
special treats arrive early and to sneak a furry peak!!
Please include Herman and his family in your daily thoughts
and prayers in the hope that he truly becomes one of the miracle kitties that is able to
defeat this terrible disease that has touched the lives of so many feline loving families.
This is Bean, a handsome furry friend of ours who cuddles with his family in North Carolina. With the loving support of his family, Bean is bravely battling the sarcoma monster. Bean began his furry life in a litter of kittens born in a shed to a wild furry mom. Bean's human Mom welcomed him into their family's hearts and home when he was just four weeks old due to the fact that he was fighting a severe upper respiratory infection. Most people say he doesn't realize that he's a cat as Bean proudly thinks that he's just an overly hairy mama's boy!! Bean likes to wrap his front legs around Mom's neck and then kiss her. Bean's Mom once had a furry soulmate named Judee (a small mixed breed dog of some variety) and both furry siblings loved their Mom so much and were so jealous, that they even had a few spats over Mom's lap. If Bean even looked at his Mom's lap, Judee would growl at him fiercely - as if to say MY mother!!! Bean and Judee were always able to achieve some manner of relative peace, even if grudgingly on both their parts! Please say a special prayer for Bean and his family in the hope that they are able to enjoy as MUCH love, peace and comfort as possible during this difficult time in their family's lives.
This is a picture of Sergei, a furry friend of our family who after a valiant battle with the sarcoma monster has now made that heartfelt journey to the land of love and comfort. Sergei' was truly blessed in that his family always focused on his "quality" and "comfort" of life, especially during his brave battle with the sarcoma monster. Sergei was a TRUE lover of classical music and was named after two of his favorite Russian Masters, Sergei Prokofiev and Sergei Rachmaninoff. Sergei's parents also happen to be concert pianists and composers, and one of their dear boy's favorite hobbies was in helping them edit their musical compositions. Sergei just loved to lay across their score while his parents were reading it. Sergei's parents think that this was his way of trying to get them "out of the page" so that they could listen more effectively! Sergei was often called"Chicho" and "Tito" by his Cuban grandparents as well as having earned the nickname "Bugsleyman" from his parents for his propensity to gift them with stray cockroaches and lizards!! Please send your positive and loving energy to Sergei's family in the hope that with each and every passing day, their hearts begin to heal from the devastation of having to say "until" to their beloved boy.
