Welcome to Sylvia's
"Photo Friends"
This is the special place at Sylvia's Kitty Condo where we are pleased to be able to share with you some of the very special furry friends who we have met along the course of our dear girls journey. As our "extended family" of friends grows, so too grows the love which fills our family's hearts.
These two grass cuddling furry friends of our family are Sasha (left) and Sydni. While these two beautiful fur girl's and their Mom had to experience a scary post vaccination reaction, we're very pleased to announce that all is now well in their furry family's lives. Sasha and Sydni are truly blessed to have a loving Mom who is taking such a proactive role towards making the very best decisions concerning their vaccination needs and hopefully forever avoiding this dreaded cancer that has united the hearts and lives of so many animal loving familiess.
Sasha and Sydni's furry bio:
"You would think they came from the same litter, but they didn't!
Sydni came first at about four weeks old. I could fit her in my hand and she still had her baby blue eyes. She had to endure weaning milk from an eye dropper, learning how to drink from a bowl and use the litter box by the hands of a new human mom! She came out beautifully! Sasha came about 4 weeks later at 8 weeks old. Luckily she had her real mom to show her the ropes! She was a momma's girl from the beginning and learned to include me in her favorite game of fetch, with small water bottle lids! Both are well and happy!"
This is a picture of the handsome Angel fur baby Casper. Unfortunately, dear Casper crossed over the Rainbow Bridge after bravely and valiantly battling the sarcoma monster. While we regret the fact that dear Casper and his family have temporarily been separated until that glorious day when they will once again reunite in the land of love and comfort, we will forever be grateful for their dedication towards helping to spread the "word" about this very important feline health care issue.
Casper's Mom composed the following heartfelt reflection in tribute to their beloved Angel child and we encourage you to visit their web effort, dedicated in loving memory to their dear Angel boy."Casper was 8 years old when he passed away. His will to live was very strong. He fought the cancer with all of his strength. When he was euthanised, he did not give up even then. The vet had to do it 3 times before he finally stopped fighting it. He never realized that he was a cat. He loved to watch X-Men cartoons and play with toy cars. Plus he loved to go to school with my daughter. "
In Loving Memory of Casper
This regal fur boy is Blizzard, a very special friend of our family who with the loving assistance of his family is bravely battling the sarcoma monster. Dear Blizzard is blessed to not only have a loving family who is helping him during this difficult part of his nine lives journey, but who is also helping to carry forth the "effort of education" in the battle against VAS. Please include dear Blizzard and his family in your daily thoughts and prayers in the hope that he truly becomes one of the miracle kitty's who is forever able to defeat this dreaded disease.
Blizzard's Mom composed the following furry family bio so that we could share with you some of the heartfelt qualities of this special fur boy who will forever hold a very special place in their family's hearts and lives."He is something else. He is one of a litter of three that were in the backyard of the house my sister worked and lived in. After my other cats passed over the bridge, my sister (and husband) worked me over til I said OK. We thought they were grey, they weren't, 2 of them are solid white with blue eyes (Leo and Blizzard) and one is beige hues w/a butterscotch stripped tail and butterscotch ears (Bashful). They were a handful. Blizzard is smaller than then other 2, but he loves to pick fights with his brothers and when he's really annoyed his tail gets poofy. They are all very affectionate, they love pets and kisses and mush. Blizzard loves to cuddle with me at night, especially after he got sick. He was diagnosed in January of 2003 and had the "hat trick", radiation (21 days), surgery and 4 rounds of chemo. He charmed the folks at the radiation place and the hospital where we boarded him in New Jersey and they still call the oncologist at AMC in NY to see how he is. He is a funny boy."
This Empress Angel girl is Tabi, who with the tender loving assistance of her family has made that heartfelt journey across the Rainbow Bridge. Tabi and her human and furry family were blessed in being able to share almost fourteen cuddle filled years together. While Tabi's family has had to say "until" to their beloved fur child, they are finding great comfort in looking forward to that glorious day in the future when they will all be reunited in the land of love and comfort.
Tabi's Mom composed the following heartfelt tribute to her beloved fur child just before she began the next part of her nine lives journey. She invited us to share this beautiful composition with all of our feline loving friends so that they too could share in some of the heartfelt memories that Tabi and her family were blessed in sharing together."February 20, 2004
Dearest Tabatha (Tabi):
I remember the first time I saw you as a little kitten in August, 1990 with your sister. The animal shelter was so crowded you and your sister were in a bird cage, which was big enough for both of you since you were so small. Your Daddy, who has since left our family, thought that I needed a new kitten to love since my Wenham had disappeared without a trace and I was beside myself with grief. He was right. He said I should go to the animal shelter to see a new kitten that had just been brought in. I didn’t know if he meant you or your sister but as soon as I saw your pretty little face, I knew you were the one that would mend my broken heart. I’m sorry I couldn’t adopt both of you together. When I brought you home, you were so small you fit into the palm of my hand. Your new big brother, Skye, who as you know is part wolf, was so excited to see you he was shaking all over. It was love at first sight. Skye has always looked out for you and protected you, and loved you. You also had a new big sister, Sarah who took a few days to get used to you, but she quickly learned to love your placid and peaceful nature, and soon you were the best of friends. I remember when Sarah was tragically run over by a car and you took on some of her little quirky characteristics, you used to meow just like her sometimes after she was gone. It’s like you knew that would comfort Mommy. And it did. And then Jack came into our lives, another big brother. Although he has been a bit of a pain to you, he loves you too, and has always looked out for you. You even accepted Arrow when we rescued her from a certain death, and never, ever picked a fight with her. All you ever wanted to do was love us. Tabi you have been the best cat, the best companion, so affectionate and so loving all of us unconditionally.
I am thankful for the almost 14 years we have had together. Mommy is very, very sad to let you go from this life, but you will be free from the horrible VAS cancer and the suffering and in God’s loving arms. I’m sure Sarah is waiting for you, and Granddad, and Michael (Brandolini), and all the other VAS kitties. We will all be with you soon. Enjoy the other side my precious little baby, we will all be together again soon. Lots of love, Mommy"
