This page was created by Patrick Zerzan and Becky Zerzan (whom are brother & sister) of the United States territory, Guam. Guam is located in the far western part of the Pacific Ocean right next to the Philipines.

Patrick Zerzan is 18 years of age and has just graduated from George Washington High School, located in Mangilao, Guam. He is active in the Boyscouts and is a member of troop 38. His rank in the Boyscouts is "Eagle". His hobbies are diving, hiking, camping, swimming, caneoing (he's a member of the George Washington Outrigger Caneo Team),reading, sailing, biking, and the internet (especially website building and e-mailing).

Becky Zerzan is 16 years of age, and is to be a 11th grader at George Washington High School. She is a volunteer at the local animal shelter, and her hobbies include hiking, swimming, biking, camping, reading and fishing.

They are the proud owners of one dog (Floppy), a parakeet (Daphne), and a cat (Radar) and have previously cared for an assortment of animal, ranging from cats, to turtles, to salamanders, and anticipate any future "friends".

INFORMATION ABOUT GUAM:

Status: an unincorporated US territory (everyone born here in a US citizen)

Population: 150,000

Climate: Tropical

Government: is made up of a locally elected governor, and a one-house legislature.

Language: English, and Chamorro (Chamorro is the native language however, sad to say, it is dieing out)

Size: appro. 209 square miles (541 sq km) It is the largest of the Mariana Islands.

Capital: Agana

Main Economy: Tourism (from Korea, Japan, Tawian)

Brief History: Guam was discovered by Ferdinand Magellan in 1521, and it became a Spanish possesion by a proclamation issued by Miguel Lopez Legazpi in 1565. It later became a US possesion after it was taken from Spain during the Spanish-America war. In 1941, during World War II it was invaded and occupied by the Japanese. After extremely heavy fighting it was liberated by US forces in 1944. Since than Guam has sent a non-voting delegate to the US House of Representatives, and has remained a US terriroty.
