The Apeiron Foundation, is a non-profit environmental organization working to create ecologically healthy communities by bringing sustainable living practices from around the world to this region. We support environmentally friendly building technologies, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, prevention- and holistic-oriented healthcare, and green business practices. We believe sustainability should be an integral part of all decisions our society makes and support efforts to create a long-term vision for sustainability at the local, state, regional, national, and international levels.

The Rhode Island Sustainability Coalition, is a broad partnership of more than 35 state agencies, non-profits, schools, businesses, and community members to bring the best sustainability practices from around the world to this region. The coalition undertakes projects in areas such as building, energy, agriculture, health care and business. Since its incpetion, the coalition has participated in: planning a statewide sustainability conference, creating a legislative commission on sustainability, and beginning a project to create school gardens to meet a portion of schoolsą food needs.
Save the Bay, The mission of Save The Bay is to ensure that the environmental quality of Narragansett Bay and its watershed is restored and protected from the harmful effects of human activity. Save The Bay seeks carefully planned use of the Bay and its watershed to allow the natural system to function normally and healthfully, both now and for the future. In defense of Narragansett Bay and its watershed, Save The Bay's actions include: Watching over the activities and programs of government and the citizenry that degrade the environmental quality of the Bay, basin, and watershed. Leading the community by initiating programs and activities that increase the environmental awareness and knowledge of the public. Initiating action that will directly clean up the Bay.
Second Nature, works to help higher education teach and practice how to achieve a sustainable relationship between humans and the environment so that the health, social, and economic needs of all current and future generations can be met. Our goal is to have the systematic interdependence of scientific, economic, cultural, political and humanistic learning applied to all learning and practice to achieve a sustainable relationship between humans and the environment. We focus on colleges and universities because they educate our future teachers, leaders, managers, policy makers, and other professionals. We work to expand the capability of future decision makers to make environmentally sustainable living a central and continuing part of education, research and campus operations and community outreach. It is only through this type of effort that environmentally-sound living will become "second nature" to the next generations of leaders, managers, teachers and other professionals in society.

SWAP - is a community development corporation working to make the neighborhoods on the South Side of Providence safe, healthy and affordable places to live. SWAP creates home ownership, rental and cooperative living opportunities for low and moderate income families. SWAP also provides education for home buyers, home owners and neighborhood contractors.
Why Drive? Rhode Islanders for Transit Alternatives, Why Drive? is a Rhode Island coalition of users of and advocates for alternative transportation. We focus on policy change and visibility for transit user issues on the local, municipal, and state levels.
Woonasquatucket River Greenway Project - is a program of The Providence Plan. The goal of the project is to reclaim the trashed river and abandoned adjacent lands for beneficial reuse.
