Photo taken on Gunung Panti hill in Malaysia

The reason I created this website is that it serves as a permanent reminder of the places & images I visited & experienced in my lifetime, things I might forget in years to come, things that would disappear like teardrops in the rain if I did not pick up my camera and snap it.

I treat this purely as a hobby so im disadvantaged by being able to only afford free webspace provided by geocities which means you have to put up with pop up ads when viewing my photos. The advantages of geocities are that its owned by YAHOO and will probably never close down and thus this website will remain here forever hopefully outlasting my lifetime and be my epitaph. Funny huh :)

I truly believe that everyone has it in them to take the same kind photos I have taken, I have had no training in photography other than what a highschool friend taught me and from what I read in amateur photography magazines. I am very happy to answer questions on all aspects of my photographs and would love to help if you might be thinking about taking up photography as a hobby.

Oh look, here is me AGAIN!, this time Im shooting not off a mirror, but from a dark window reflection and this was at my friend Jericho's birthday party, with another friend Hung behind me. Because of the dim light, this photo turned out very grainy, but I still like it, as a momento of past.

Lastly, a few facts......

  1. Inspiration comes from french photographer & painter Henri Cartier-Bresson
  2. I started photography whilst studing Mathematics at university.
  3. I'm Chinese, but born and raised in Scotland, thus have a Scottish accent, which some people find amusing
  4. Besides taking photos, I like hillwalking and playing badminton.
  5. I own 3 cameras that are 50, 25 and 10 years old :
    • Rolleiflex 3.5E (2nd hand)
    • Pentax MX (2nd hand)
    • Minolta 700si
  6. The picture of the small boy on the front is not me. The above photos are :-)
  7. I dont own a mobile phone - some people look at me dumbstruck by this fact.
  8. I dont own a digital camera - they are convenient, but the picture quality is not there yet.

For the important stuff.
Since I do this as a hobby I really dont mind if you use these photos for non comercial use, all I ask is for you to notify me by email, then go to the COCOA website to read about the children much less fortunate than you own kids. If you have the means to do something please do. Please take your time to read it.
