Milkweed: (Asclepias ssp.)
From Gk.Asklepios god of medicine, relating to medicinal properties. It is the primary larval food for the Monarch and Queen Butterflies.
Passionflower: (Passiflora ssp.)
Some people say that parts of the flower resemble the crusifixion of Christ. It is the primary larval food for the Gulf Fritillary and Zebra Longwing Butterflies.
Sugarberry Tree: (Celtis laevigata)
It is the primary larval food for the Hackberry Butterfly, Tawny Emperor and Snout Butterfly.
Senna: (Cassia ssp.)
It is the primary larval food for the Cloudless Sulphur.
Marigold: (Tagetes ssp.)
It is the primary larval food for the Dainty Sulphur.
Snapdragon: (Antirrhinum ssp.)
It is the primary larva food for the Buckeye.
