Species list

Visit my PhD project page called Operation fruit, find out where these species live on the distribution map, or maybe you would like an explanation of scientific names.

This is a list of species with large fruit or large flower containing nectar. Every good science experiment has to include some controls. In this case the controls are plant species that are thought not to be pollinated by birds and have wind dispersed seed. In other words, birds are not interested in these species, so these species should be unaffected by what birds get up to.

It would be useful to know when the large fruited species flower as fruiting time might be dictated by when a species flowered. However, I would consider this information as an extra bonus.
