Photithat phiman (Shrine of Maha Bodhi Relic)
At the back of the Assembly Hall between the two Commemorative Chapel, a spired shrine inlaid with coloured ceramic tiles stands on a high,
multitiered pedestal. In the centre of the shrine is an ancient gilt stupa which King Rama IV brought back from the North when he was still in the
monkhood prior to his mounting the throne. The stupa contains relics of the Buddha and the remains of a leaf and stem from the Bodhi Tree under
which Sakyamuni attained Enlightenment at Bodh Gaya in India. The shrine was built during the reign of King Rama IV.
