Phra Tamnak Phet, this building is half Thai and half European in style

Lum La Lankka tree was grown by His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej in July 9, 1968, near the gate leding to Tamnak Phet
9. Phra Tamnak Phet
Built by King Rama VI for Somdej Phra Maha Samanachao Kroma Phraya Vajirayan Varoros, this building is half Thai and half European in style with a very finely decorated audience hall. It was the site of the first printing press in Thailand. Later it was used to place the royal remains after cremation and also as a meeting place for the Maha Thera Samakhom or Council of Monks. At present it is used to exhibit artistic works of Prince Narissaranuwatiwong.
