To recognise and aware of the great benevolence of His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his birthday and to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of his accession to the throne, the
Dramatic Section of Vimanmek Mansion Museum is appreciated to present well wishing dance, "Rum Thawaiphraporn".
The theme of this well wishing song was composed by Mr. Pitcha Thawonratana which its contents referred to the peace, happiness an well-being of Thai people under the sovereignity of the king who was the longest reigning monarch for 50 years. The
melody in the song operated by xylophone orchestra, mostly consisting of percussion instruments as treble gamelan, bass gamelan, gong, double-headed drum, flute and cymbal. The dancers dressed in beautiful
constumes of the lady of the court, dancing with graceful and glorious manner as cultural pattern of Thais.
Other than this Thai classical dance, there are another field of Thai arts and cultures that show off the eminent uniqueness, suitable to be conserved and transferred to the new generations for their proud and admiration of Thai people.
