Earthwatch is my favorite environmental organization - because they get their members involved in unique ways. If you aren't familiar with them, I encourage you to check them out. You will be pleasantly surprised !

The World Wildlife Fund is dedicated to preserving animals and their habitats - visit their site to see their current projects.

Amnesty International is an organization I deeply respect. Through letter writing campaigns, they seek to free political prisoners and oppressed people the world over. (okay, it may not belong under the Environment header - so sue me)

Greenpeace can be a little extreme for some folks, but they do plenty of good work. Click the link to explore their website.

The Casual Otaku is chock full of Anime goodness ! It's the neophyte anime fan's best pal. And I am not just saying that because I contribute to the site ! Full of reviews, pictures, and the hallowed Metro Detroit Anime Resource Guide. Oh, now there is a web ring, too.

National Geographic has a cool site on the web - great articles, great pictures, great stuff for the younger set, all in all a very nifty site.

For freeware, Download.com is the place to go. Just don't go crazy and try to download too much at once.

And for more free stuff for your computer, try Windows95.com ... (that is, if you use win95)
