My Conclusion

I think Garry oaks are an important part of our heritage. They should be protected by by-laws, and national laws, against being destroyed by urbanization and such things. The fact that they are not just makes me mad. We, the people, have to stand up for what we believe in. We can't just let them cut down our trees to put some new "development" in. We want to keep the old part of our lives intact. So, if you have Garry oaks in your community, contact your local government and say, "Protect my Garry oaks!."

This project has opened my eyes a little. I am a knew person and I am going to strive to do my best to save local native plants and trees, and get involved more in my community. I will try to better myself and the area around me, and so should you, the viewers. Even if you don't want to, or can't, save Garry oaks, try to save the rest of the community. Whether its by random acts of kindness, or saving local plants, you can do it. Just think positively and you can do it.

Sincerely,
