ALTERNATIVES
President Clinton:
"I am committed to going the extra mile to explore whether there may be safer and more environmentally sound alternatives to incineration."
Huntsville, Al Feb 6, 1997/ PR Newswire
"The explosive component and propellant of an M-55 nerve gas rocket have been successfully destroyed at a U.S. Army-certified commercial laboratory through a chemical process known as solvated electron technologist(TM) process) developed by Teledyne-Commodore, LLC.
PUBLIC FORUM TO DISCUSS ALTERNATIVE
TECHNOLOGIES
"a success"

General information about each of the technologies is currently available.  Simplified technology summaries describing each process will be distributed at the meeting.  Currently, public outreach offices have available 10-page technology brochures from each of the seven providers.  Detailed information on the SEVEN technologies will be available after the demonstration testing is complete.

HOW WILL THE ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT HELP ALABAMA?
(IT WON'T UNLESS CONGRESS ACTS NOW!!)

Because of current Congressional legislation, the SEVEN technologies that pass the go/no-go criteria are being considered for use only in:  Colorado and Kentucky (Maryland and Indiana have already selected Alternative Technologies!!)

Alternative Technologies will work on M-55 Rockets
or Congress would not have included Kentucky in the Alternative Technologies program!
(M-55 Rockets make up 90% of Kentucky's stockpile.)
