Spaghetti Balls

preparation time: 55-75 min.

  • 1 lb. tofu
  • 1/4 c sunflower seeds, ground in blender
  • 1/2 c oats
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 2 T chopped parsely (or 1 tsp. dry)
  • 1/2 tsp. dill
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 T soy sauce
  • 1 T corn starch
  • 1/2 c whole wheat flour
  • oil for browning
  • 2 c tomato sauce Wrap tofu in paper towel or cloth to remove extra water for a couple of min. Mash and mix well with all ingredients except oil and tomato sauce. (Mashes best with potato masher.) Form into 24 balls and put into lightly oiled dish. Sprinkle little oil on them. Bake at 375 for 20-25 min, turning once to brown. Put tomato sauce on top, and bake for 15-20 min. more at 350. Eat. =)
