My Dream About the Rapture and Heaven |
(This dream is not to be looked upon as prophetic but merely as entertainment) In 1998, I had the most marvelous dream about the rapture and heaven. In my dream, I was in a movie theatre, and the room was the color sanguine, or red. I was watching a movie with my family when suddenly a huge red cloth that covered the whole ceiling came down 3-5 feet. There was much confusion in the room, and everyone was trying to figure out what was going on. During the confusion, long red ropes started to drop out from the red cloth. These ropes were being dropped in front of specific people so they knew that the rope belonged to them. When the ropes were being dropped, Jesus started to come down. He was a huge, white light that was shaped as a man wearing a gown. Once Jesus had come down, people started to grab onto their ropes disappearing to heaven. I had not yet received a rope and went through the most horrifying terror imaginable. I was praying, begging, crying, pleading, repenting, and whatever else possible so that I could receive a rope. Finally, I received a rope and grabbed on. I found myself in heaven with all sorts of people. If you imagined any type of person, you could find them in the heaven of my dream. What all these people had in common was they were all so happy. You could feel the joyfulness by just looking at the people and you never wanted to leave. In heaven, I saw stores, restaurants, and animals. I remember seeing a raccoon that was standing by a tree. Even the raccoon seemed happy. I joined my family and went to a Mexican restaurant. When we sat down at the restaurant, we were immediately served with the food we wanted. We never had to order because even before we walked in the restaurant they knew exactly what we wanted. Afterwards, my family and I went to a store. Inside the store was a miniature hockey game that you play by hand against someone else. What was so special about the hockey game was the hockey puck was moving around without any help. When my family was in the store, three of our pet cats walked in. The cats walked in the store with their tails in the air, and the tails were shaped like a candy cane. When cats have their tail like this, it means they're happy. Then we went to our cats and petted them. After awhile, I went to a bookstore. In the store, I saw Jesus walking up and down the aisles. I stood in awe watching Him for a while then left the store. This was about the end of my dream. For those who are curious, it was a pre-tribulation dream. While in heaven, I remember my earthly father (who probably represented the Father sending his son) telling me that he had to go back to earth because there was still people left behind. At that time in heaven, it really didn't matter to me who was left behind because I couldn't think of anyone specific. All that mattered to me were God, the people, and things of heaven. It was at this time I woke up from my dream. Now what's left from my dream in me is the eagerness for Jesus to come back so I can grab my "rope" to heaven. Once again, I would like to say that I do not consider this dream prophetic. I have no confirmation from God that the dream came from Him. The rapture will happen one day, and I know many of us who are saved are eagerly waiting for this remarkable event. I always have to remember that only God knows when it will be the perfect time for the rapture. We must wait so that our future brothers and sisters in Christ can become saved and not have to go through the tribulation or even hell. For those who are curious about what I have thought my dream could have meant in the case it was from God, here are my thoughts. Since the rapture in my dream did happen in a movie theatre, it could have represented the movie Left Behind. One day while I was reading my Bible, I ran across a scripture I had never recalled hearing before that reminded me of my dream also. The scripture was a vision received by Peter. The scripture was Acts 10:11-16, "And he saw the sky opened up, and an object like a great sheet coming down, lowered by four corners to the ground, and there were in it all kinds of four-footed animals and crawling creatures of the earth and birds of the air. A voice came down to him, 'Get up, Peter, kill and eat!' But Peter said, 'By no means, Lord, for I have never eaten anything unholy and unclean! Again a voice came to him a second time, 'What God has cleansed, no longer consider unholy!' This happened three times, and immediately the object was taken up into the sky." (New American Standard Bible, 1995 Update) The great sheet that Peter saw reminded me of the great cloth that I saw come down in my dream. If this has any significance, I don't know. The last thought I have had about my dream is it could've been a confirmation to me animals would be in heaven. My dream for right now though is just a lovely experience that I am so blessed I had. |
