Scuba Diving

I think one of my favorite things to do in life has to be scuba diving. I like to dive in all weather and in just about any diving conditions. Of course optimum conditions like the ones we encountered in Belize have to be my favorite, but I am not picky. I live in Michigan so I am very adept at scuba diving in icy lakes with zero visibility :).

I started Diving when I was 17 years old. I have always loved the water and began swimming and snorkeling at an early age. Recently I took an underwater photography class and purchased a beginning underwater camera. I have had the wonderful opportunity to dive under extraordinary conditions with some of the most marvelous animals such as dolphins, sea turtles, eagle rays, white-tip reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, and even a bull shark...woops. Here are a few pictures from some of my favorite dives.

On the left is a picture taken in Belize of a Queen trigger fish and a Squirrel fish. I think the Queen trigger has to be one of my favorite fish. Although territorial, they are very beautiful. On the right is a picture of two Bottlenose dolphins taken off the coast of Oahu, Hawaii. We were fortunate to be able to dive with these two dolphins on our way back from the Mahi a 120 foot wreck dive. We had been gassing off for a sufficient time so we were able to spend almost an hour with these two dolphins. This was one of my favorite dives :)
