The Bannister line begins with Mary Bannister from Virginia. She was married to Thomas Chappell Jr. Her parent were Lt. John Bannister and his wife Joan. Lt. John died in 1661 in Virginia.

Thomas died young and Mary remarried. She married James Wallace.
