FRIENDS
I want to make a page about my friends. My friends today are Christian friends, especially my church family. I love everyone in my church!
My BEST FRIEND and my Christian beacon is my husband. He is SO good to me and helps me grow spiritually!! I don't know what I would do without him. I love and depend on him.
Mrs. Lanell and Martin are very special to me. Mrs. Lanell is SO nice to me and we enjoy doing things together. We try to spread the gospel and the importance of attending church to people we meet. Martin has rededicated his life and is growing greatly in the Word. (Sammy and Sonny are her sons.)
Brother Sammy and Mrs. Joyce are inspirational to me and are a real help to the whole church. Brother Sammy teaches our Sunday School class and REALLY knows Revelation! He should hurry up and write a book!! Mrs. Joyce has done alot for everyone! She is such a help to Brother Sammy (and has ALWAYS been good to me and my family!).
Sonny and Jan are a real blessing. The Lord has worked SO much in their life!
My next best friends are Brother Larry and Mrs. Cathy. He is the pastor of my church and she is his wife. Brother Larry gave me away in my wedding. Mrs. Cathy and I witness together. We discuss things with each other, help each other, work together to show people the way to Salvation, and can vent our feelings to each other. (It takes a friend for that!)
Debbie, JT, and Eric Shepherd are very special to me. They have helped me in my lowest times. Debbie is a darling. She is always smiling even when she is breaking on the inside. She makes everyone feel good! JT cares SO much about his family and friends! He will do anything for you. Eric is always there for me, helping whenever he can. He is like both his mother and father.
Brother Bill, Mrs. Joan and their family, Amy, Steve and Brian are model Christians. It seems they are everything any Christian would want to be. They too have always helped me. Brother Bill is a deacon at my church. He would help me fix things in my house before I married Wayne. Mrs. Joan is always there to help do anything she can, like take me to the doctor when I'm sick. She also plays the organ at church.
James, Janet and Jimmy McFarlin have come to be a part of our church family. James is a very good bass singer and Janet is a very good soprano. Janet also plays the piano for Wayne and the choir. I'm very touched by what a good family they are and how dedicated they are to each other.
Brother Earl is another deacon, and his wife's name is Mrs. MaryLou. They both are very caring people and they both try to do all they can for the church and all the members.
Now, to friends from my past!!
The first to get in touch was my boyfriend and best friend from high school, Roger Michael Tate. We were baptised in the Baptist Church at the same time. It was such a delight to hear from him again!!!
Next, Rose Marie Preston got in touch. She goes by Lankford. Harold was who she married.
I haven't heard from Dianne Jackson in awhile. She became a Mullinax after marrying her high school sweetheart, Bobby.
I'd like to hear from Edith or Colleen Bates. I knew them from Cedartown, Georgia. I was friends with Edith. The last I knew of her, she was an editor in New York. Colleen was a TV personality in Birmingham and was a student of Jacksonville State University. If you can help me make a connection, please do!!!
I'd like to make connections with other people that I know. If you remember me, please get in touch and let's reminisce!
